Married: Jan Hercksz Kranckheyt (bap. New Amsterdam 28 November 1657) in 1694.

6. Jacobus Kranckheyt, bap. 1 June 1708.

Jan's parents are Herck Siboutszen Kranckheyt and Wyntje Teunis (Quick)
Background information:
Grietje^2 JANS (Jentie^1 JEPPES) was born, probably in New Jersey between 1664 and 1666 and is last noted in 1714. Her
mother died soon after she was born but her precise time of birth or reason for mother’s death is unknown. She used her
patronym JANS because she was not a native of either Wijckel or Friesland. About 1694 she married Jan Hercksz
Kranckheyt who was bap. in New Amsterdam on 11/28/1657 (son of Herck Siboutszen Kranckheyt and Wyntje Teunis (Quick),
later of Newtown, L.I. Around 1696, Jan and Grietje moved to the Van Cortlandt Manor in Westchester County and were
listed in 1697 on the membership roll of the Tarrytown (Phillipsburg) Church. All but their first child were baptised in
Tarrytown.
Children: Wyntje^2 was b. in 1695 and m. Matthew BROUWER in Tarrytown, 8/19/1719. Their children were baptized in Tarrytown.
Jan^3 was bap. 4/21/1697 in the Tarrytown Church and probably died before 1763.
Herick^3 was bap. 4/24/1699 and m. Catharina LENT, the daughter of Abraham and Maritie (Depew) LENT.
Harcules Krankhite of Tykes Patent in Westchester Co. and his sons sold land May 2, 1763. Jacobus^3 consented to the sale suggesting the property belonged to their
parents and they were the only surviving sons. They had children. Sytje^3 was bap. 4/18/1702.
Mettje^3 was bap. 6/4/1705. As Metje Crancheyt, born and living on the Manor of Cortlandt she m. (8/7/1731) Hendrick VAN TEXEL (later Van Tassel), son
of Cornelis and Antie (Storm) Van Tassel. They moved to Fishkill and had children.
Jacobus^3 was bap. 6/1/1708 and m. Geertje/Charity LENT, dau. of Abraham and Maritie (Depew) LENT. (Note that Harcules^3 and Jacobus^3 married sisters.) As
Jacobus Krankhytt of Ryckes Patent, Westchester Co., he left a will dated 1/7/1771 and proved
2/10/1773 naming wife Charity and children.
